months ago, when I was ill, my doctor told me that I must
start doing Pilates.
I thought, “Ok, what is Pilates?”
I was put in touch with Melissa and life isn’t the same anymore (THANK HEAVENS)!
Before starting Pilates, I would climb a flight of
stairs, (all of our bedrooms are on the 2nd
level) and I was out of air and couldn’t breath, so we
put our beautiful 2 story house up for sale.
Within just a few months of beginning Pilates, we
took our house off the market, because now I can climb
stairs without difficulty. I didn’t have to sell my
house and I credit that to my new exercise routine.
Another amazing thing is that I can bend over to
pick things up!!
I can get on the floor and play with our
grandchildren and still be able to get up (unassisted) and
move normally when finished.
(By the way - don’t tell anyone, but I’m
61 years young).
I began with the Pilates Class.
I added Private Fitness Sessions on the Pilates
Reformer with Melissa.
I’m having so much fun getting fit.
I’ve lost 50 pounds, wear 4 sizes smaller,
have more energy, and feel better!
I’ve made a lot of new friends and am more
involved in our community.
Everybody should ‘do Pilates’,
it’s the best advice any doctor has ever given me.
Personally, I believe I got my life back, and
without Pilates, I don’t believe I could make that
statement. [The End - but a new beginning]

Melissa
is responsible for me being much, much stronger. I’ve
achieved better balance which has prevented me from near
falls where I’ve been able to catch myself. When my
daughter, Beth, had a baby boy, I was able to be active in
my new grandson’s care and I give the Stretch &
Pilates Class all the credit.

I
am healthier, my muscles are stronger and I have more
flexibility.
I am able to walk up stairs easier, my balance is
better and I’m able to keep up with my grandchildren!
My commitment to attending class has helped my
posture, which is very important.
Melissa has been a big help.
Pilates is good for all ages.

While I was seeking another type of physical
activity to add to my normal fitness routine, my neighbor
mentioned that she had been enjoying a class with Melissa. I wasn’t sure exactly what to expect. I really found
that I enjoyed the class!
Plus - the stretching was very relaxing.
After the class, Melissa had us all write our fitness
goals on a piece of paper.
She then did a drawing for a free month of classes and
oddly enough, I won! I
knew then, that this was meant for me!
I absolutely love what the Stretch and Pilates
has done for me! I used to have terrible low back pain from a
previous broken tailbone.
After the first six months I noticed I didn’t have
the pain anymore! How
nice to be Tylenol free!
Another
benefit of the routine is what it has done to strengthen and
tone my body. I lost a lot of weight about eight years ago.
I have been able to maintain my weight loss with my
commitment to training. I found that while not losing any more
weight (which wasn’t what I was after), I lost inches. I had to have all my clothes taken in! I felt like I added height to my already tall 5’9” frame!
My posture improved and I just plain feel great about
myself!
I
owe it all to Melissa for making the classes fun and
therapeutic. It’s
for all ages, shapes and sizes!
I share the benefits with everyone.
